Cagney

Cagney was left in an overnight "drop box" at a shelter in rural Virginia.  Nothing else is known about his past but one can speculate since it is rumored he was brought to the shelter in the trunk of a car and he cringes when you try to touch him.  He came to his foster home very dirty and very scared and covered in fleas and ticks; however, that hasn't hindered this sweet boy's quest for love.  He bonds quickly and is very smart and inquisitive.  He is excellent with other dogs and cats and is fully house trained, but he is afraid of his crate - which is fine, as he has great house manners.  Cagney is very quiet inside and would do well in an apartment or condo as long as you are able to give him a good walk twice a day.  He is very skinny and needs to gain a good amount of weight as well.  Cagney will need a patient family who can help boost his confidence and lower his anxiety.  All around a wonderful boy who deserves nothing but the best.
