Meet Martha: to know her is to love her.
She is our resident drama queen.
If her bowl is empty, she flips it over with her paw with a resounding clatter and looks at you for a reaction.
Martha is a velcro GSD and very affectionate.
She rubs on you like a cat. She talks that GSD talk and is very opinionated.
As mentioned, she loves people but was snappy with her canine foster brother at first, but has made her peace with him. Martha has separation anxiety.
She is not destructive when left alone, but she will pace so much that she wears out her hips, so she is crated when no one is home so she won’t pace so much.
Martha is middle aged (between 5-8).
She recently had a tumor removed and is recovering nicely. She is obedient, has wonderful house manners, and walks well on a leash.
She loves short walks, eating, and watching TV.
Her favorite programs are on the food network. She would probably be happiest as the only dog or with an omega male in a relatively quiet home.
Her shelter said she is good with cats.
She is being fostered in the Shenandoah Valley, west of Charlottesville.
